... to work with independently developed apps, surely Microsoft will have something similar in it's API library. Of course, most people will not have cameras on their Windows computers sufficient to perform facial recognition. Microsoft computers do have this, but not necessarily the other brands.

I have experience with UBTN devices. It has IPv4 ( RJ45 ) support that you can use to access the cameras.

... mostly. Also access to DICOM systems, whilst it will be available, will be limited, especially during early testing, as we can't afford to crash cameras or processing stations whilst they are being used for medical purposes. So don't expect too much too soon. Regards xProgrammer
