Old DOS to new Windows = Conversion thoughts

... a lot of clients who I never hear from still run the old DOS program because it simply never fails. Of course that is quite a problem because it's harder to get computers that run 16 bit Clipper applications since all the OS systems are now discontinued. I'm thinking there might be a market for ...

Re: trying with tdatabase

... using so this gives the option to set each one differently. Granted this could also be done by passing nOrder to the superclass, but it is still harder to grasp if a new user can't visualize exactly what is happening. All the ways are workable solutions.

Re: Verify 2 different tables

I would think that scrolling back and forth across a long line of data looking for differences would be much harder to use.

Yes, therefore I present his a Xabrowse with only changed records and color the differences on every row.

Thanks for thinking with me ...

Re: Create a safe link for download

... tell how Fivetech generates the filenames, but I think it is easy to find a way. It is not tipical in any way, it is just security by making thing harder to figure out, but IMHO it only creates a false sense of safety. This procedure is the one I usually use to store passwords. Given an Invoice ...

Create a safe link for download

... (no)http://91.183.133.204:54321/b3ccbebf7cc8541e36a08905701138b7b9c0.pdf This is much harder to try to find. Is it typical HTML or a changed random filename created by FWH? Also to be on the safe. Marc

Re: OT: It's getting harder !

My comment was an observation. I resolved all of the problems. I was just commenting that programming is so much harder now than when I started 34 years ago. It has become more complex.. OT in the title was to indicate I didn't have a specific question.

OT: It's getting harder !

... programming styles ? Could it be Windows 10, Harbour, FWH, or MSVC 2015 ? Frankly, it can be a combination of these, and it's just plain getting harder to figure out what is happening, why, and how to fix it. I suppose that is the challenge of being a programmer, but now we have so much more ...

O.T. WINHOTEL

... Dear friends, our software all written in FIVEWIN is now listed on the MICROSOFT solution provider page. This means that we have to work even harder to keep up with the other software suppliers. Thank you for the help so far and please keep up helping. Best regards, Otto

Re: CENTERED dialogs

Thanks for explaining. As the years go by, it gets harder to be on top of everything, but I do try.
