Mr. Rao, Yes, I Confirm it now, It works with and without Indexes as long as the VIA "DBFCDX" is included when openning the database even if no index is created and used...and the other commands are included: REQUEST DBFCDX....SET DELETED ON........SET FILTER TO !DELETED()  ...

NoModal dialog menu area, always shows background (before openning this dialog) after the dialog opened, resized, till you click the dialog menu.

from experience I can say that in MS wind servers networks the more reords in dbfs then you can feel the diff of openning time ... It doesn't make sense. Opening a file does not require to read its content. Please try a sample in your network that only does USE YOURDBF and then ...

How do I bring an allready open MDI window back into focus - I have
a particular user who wont check to see if he has a window allready open - he just keeps openning new ones.
