nEndPosition = oWordApp:Selection:Range:End

To later restore the cursor position:
oWordApp:Selection:SetRange( nStartPosition, nEndPosition )

These are the methods of the FWMariaConnection() class.
Source code is not released.

You can use these methods as explained in the documentation.
