I need to seach a string in more then 10000 text-files.
If exist, I have to add the file-name into a database.

What is the fastest way to search a string in a text-file?

You have to convert the names to upper case.

Are you just trying to get DBF data into SQL? If so, there are other ways to do it. I think Enrico published a way to directly put DBF records into an SQL file. You could seach the forum for this.
