... Switching to that, the deletion occured. Thanks for the ideas. I have left the SysWait and FCLOSE functions in place to make the process more stable.

Dear Otto, thank you for testing it. It works real fine, super stable and finally we are just using a Harbour EXE again ;-) Easier to build, to understand and to maintain :-) Sometimes we have to accept that things can be done in a better way... for me ...
