Re: Fivewin controls similar to javascript elements

... as an HTML and JavaScript programmer one makes comparisons, to understand what one is doing. Particularly, I believe that EVENTHANDLERS are more universal, and in Fivewin, by extensively using ::Super:, the possibilities in screen design can significantly increase. Best regards, Otto

RTF : Fully functional

... to lock that bar in place. It is especially problematic when trying to format the top line of text in the edit box. Since I know this may not be a universal desire, perhaps we could have a flag for the control that allows us to make this occur. Thanks to all who have contributed to these conversations.

Re: UPC lookup

Tim,

Just search for "UPC API" on the web.

I tried to do this many years ago but at that time UPC's were new and I never found a universal database nor an API for access. Things have changed a lot since then.

Re: Insert device context

I have to make a universal grabber. I take the device context of any window, then I put this DC on the window of my application and cut out an arbitrary fragment. I wanted to do this using FW Save Screen() / FWRestScreen(), but it didn't work out
