I did not mean data (my mistake) but structure, i wondered if there was a utility.

It is ok i generated the xsd file , it was urgent for me.

The xml file was adapted accordingly.

Thanks for ur great ideas. Sir James, i've tried the function disable() but the function was not present neither the oHScroll/oVScroll objects. I still wondered why these objects are not present in xbrowse object...

... specify the Dialog itself as transparent, then all the controls of the dialog should have its lTransparent property set to .T. Or, I have always wondered why all controls are not transparent by default. I can not think of any situation why I would want them not showing the background of the object ...

Thanks for your reply - i've always said to our customers that i could change my app to work as you suggested in point 2, so i'm probably going to go with that. Just wondered if there was an "hidden" automated procedure somewhere :wink:

But it seems that to calculate Twips I need either the screen DPI or its physical size. I just wondered if there was some function that provided either of those. Anyway. I found an alternative that does not require twips so I can live without that function.
