Though you may use any Linux distro, including Xandros, we do recommend Ubuntu, as it has been the most popular Linux distro this year 2006 and its getting better and better.

xharbour is more popular, but both Harbour and xharbour work very well.

If you don't use xharbour extensions, then you may be able to build your application with both compilers and decide for yourself which one to use.

xHarbour es más popular, pero tanto Harbour como xHarbour funcionan correctamente.

En cuanto a los compiladores C, Borland es el más usado al ser gratuito, pero puedes usar el Microsoft C/C++ también y funciona muy bien.
