Re: MS Visual Studio

7 seconds is too much

Please go to FWH\samples and try:

buildh.bat fivedbu
buildh.bat fivedit

You will see that those apps start inmediately. Thats why I don't understand why yours takes 7 secs...

There must be a reason, but we have to find it...

Re: MS Visual Studio

Hi Carlos,
I must explain better…
the speed of the running app is okay.
I think it’s the same as with xHarbour.
Only the time it takes to start ist extremely different.

... is built without errors. But I have a new issue. My app created with xHarbour and bcc7 started within 1 second. Now with pure Harbour and bcc7 up takes at least 7 up to 10 seconds before the start dialog is shown. Is this normal for Harbour built apps?

Re: Copy structure or create new file dbf

... The only records read will be those you want. I tested a 1 million record DBF file using a scope to filter out about 20,000 records and it takes less than a second! Using a filter instead takes 23 seconds.

Re: Sample working send mail

One possibility is to install Thunderbird on the user's pc and activate a gmail account.
You send the e-mail as you always have, which is to gmail, and Thunderbird takes care of the rest.

Re: Leer Excel grande a un array o DBF

Regards Mr Rao
Reading the CSV file by passing it to an array() not even 15 seconds, 780,000 lines, reading as XLSX took a few hours
The recording if it takes 1 hour and a half, because there are validations before recording record by record.
