Is hb-serialize() compatible between xHb & Harbour

Guys,
Anyone with experience or knowledge that knows whether hb-serialize()/hb_deserialize() is compatible or not between Harbour's and xHarbour's version? Tq

... xBrowse because it is a pure HARBOR application and therefore the FIVEWIN components cannot be used. But I've come a little further. I lack the knowledge about trees. With mod harbour we can use much of our "CLIPPER/HARBOUR" knowledge for the web programming.
