... switch to another application? I rarely iconize an app, but just switch to another using the taskbar. If you are trying to find out if the app is inactive, then I think you are going to have to monitor the event handler or something. James

... you so much, I changed ttoolbar class and add some methods to works with change button bitmaps, when is mouse over and change bitmap insted use inactive button. How to make an application "sleep"?

What is the best way to make an application "Sleep" for a specified time interval?

In xbase there was a Sleep() function.

I'm aware of "inkey()"

Is there a "best" way to make the process inactive for a time period.
