What I meant was the exact version that matches with FWH release. the source code i downloaded and used did not match and got GPFs.

While I am awaiting my updgrade to FWH 8.01, I seek a few clarifications. Hope you are providing the latest xHarbour build. Are the problems about RDD incompatibility solved in this new version now ? For example the issue of GPFs in the ADORDD. Same was my experience with ADSRDD

I have just tested the sample that I published here and that was working ok and now it GPFs again on Vista.

It looks as Microsoft has changed something in recent Vista updates.

I tried, bit it didn't change anything.

I send you a small sample where the same (new) _HTMHelp is called from a screen in a rc-file - now it GPFs...
Can this be the reason??

Stephan,

We have tested HTMLHelp(0, "d:\turboint\help\tvwinint.chm", 2, nTopic)
and it GPFs both in XP and Vista :-(

Its difficult to know why as we are invoking an OCX (as a DLL) function

maybe we should try a direct call implementing a C wrapper instead of using DLL FUNCTION command
