... won't respond to other commands I was sending because it is the wrong one for the processing method they want me to use ! That clears up the mess. So ... I can affirm that ReadComm is working correctly ... if only the device would do the same.

Reinaldo, OK, below is an Explorerbar with MDI. There is a problem--the main window menu shows the Window menu allowing users to mess up the maximized mdi child windows. You would either have to not have a main window menu or you would have to modify the FW menu source to keep the mdi ...

Adopting my solution will give you the result required by you and please do not touch cSortOrder or cSort.


This is why instance vars such as these should be READONLY or even HIDDEN--so we can't mess with them.

... use them and forget them. Thats all and we dont need to do anything more. xHarbour ( and I am sure Harbour too ) does a great job cleaning up the mess we create. My large production applications run on Oracle and hundreds of objects keep getting created. The program works fine. I can not answer ...
