Upgrade to 15.01 some buttons not painted correctly

... buttons no longer display properly. I have narrowed it down to the images that are 256 color BMP. I converted the images to True Color with Alpha channel and they work ok. 16 color and True color seems to be working ok. Rick, If you use 32 bit bitmaps they will not compile into your .exe via .rc .. at least not with Borland. The only way I get alpha channel bitmaps to burn into my .exe is to save as 24 bit in my .rc or reference the 32 bit bitmap as a ( external ) file. Can you send me a 32 bit bitmap to ...

Pelles C can do it.

I save bmp alpha channel with Pixelformer.
png to bmp alpha channel. and include it in .res with Pelles C.
My be could help you.

If you use 32 bit bitmaps they will not compile into your .exe via .rc .. at least not with Borland. The only way I get alpha channel bitmaps to burn into my .exe is to save as 24 bit in my .rc or reference the 32 bit bitmap as a ( external ) file.

Francisco Pixelformer is a good program .. I also use Gimp ( free open source ) which is as powerful as PhotoShop. I create all my alpha channel bitmaps with Gimp .. Just Open your Picture with Gimp and Open ( layers ) and you can drop any picture you want on your original, resize, crop, etc ...

I think that FWH function DibFromBitmap() may not be properly saving the alpha channel.

You can review its source code here:
source\winapi\dibbmp.c

I guess we will have to google about it, or maybe FreeImage has a function that may help us...

How to keep a alpha-channel, save and resize a bitmap

Hello, saving a bitmap and testing the possible combinations, using : oDrawImg:SaveImage( cFilename, nExport ) the alphachannel will be lost. Is there another solution , saving a painted image ( BMP or PNG ) with a included alphachannel ? I think something from FREEIMAGE.dll is missing ...
