select any Color, than move the Colorslider to the BOTTOM.
Transparent is used.

Hello Otto, The PNG's have a Alphachannel, but they are NOT Transparent. You can open them with Pixelformer, next select a transparent Brush and fill the white Area. I think GIMP includes a Function as well, to replace a defined Color with TRANSPARENT. I will check it out. my Tests : Your Original :...

Added a Image-filter, to view alphablended Button-images with possible Zoom-factor.

Selecting NO Button, shows ALL formats.
1, 1,5 or 2 shows / zooms BMP's with Alpha-channel :
