Re: Harbour Problems

Silvio, I can't help with your controls problem, but I would like to share one observation. I have a program where my source code alone is more than 3.6 MB in size. You can add to this FWH and Harbour, plus all the necessary libraries, and of course all the windows ...

Re: Automated download of pictures

Mr EMG You are right. Without the benefit of cache, GETURLTOFILE() is faster than the other two. Another observation is that GETURLTOFILE() does not take advantage of cache and other two take advantage of cache if available That's true. But use of cache means that the file ...

Re: Jpg resolution going down in Ximage ?

How about IMAGE instead of XIMAGE?

TXImage class uses GDI+ for both reading and rendering all images.
TImage class uses FreeImage.dll for reading and classic GDI class for rendering images.

You may choose what do you consider better and also share your observation.

Re: OT: It's getting harder !

My comment was an observation. I resolved all of the problems. I was just commenting that programming is so much harder now than when I started 34 years ago. It has become more complex.. OT in the title was to indicate I didn't have a specific question.

Re: Very strange indexing problem

Thank you guys for the quick reply.

How about Tim's observation on his app?

Hello Tim. Kindly comment. Thank you very much.

I am a bit worried because we have scheduled testing of our app built with Harbour 3.2 and FWH 14.11 early next year.

Regards to all,

Jose
