Re: 2012 server

Rick, I will second Michel's comment and am wondering also what would be the best way for me to go about following the route you suggest. Are you available as a consultant to help with this or can you recommend another resource? My application is 30 years old (began in dbaseII) and ...

Re: Windows8 problem

... easy or intuitive. However, xBuildW seems to be getting a bit buggy (as suggested by the workarounds above), so maybe I'll have to go the Harbour route eventually. However, because of the apparent complexity, I expect that I'd have to set aside at least a week to get Harbour up and running and ...

Re: Request for Advice

Darrel; I'm inclined to think that you have decided on Ms-SQL only out of ignoring ADS. The whole thing would be much simpler if you go the ADS route. You won't have to make any changes to your code (hardly). With time you will be able to change some navigational code as well as reporting code ...

Re: Fivedroid on Qt

Hi, Conceptually is a great idea !!!, but you'll have to take a lot of energy to encode and route the main controls, for every type of systems, but... for me it's better than the library. With the library means the developer to have to learn the programming environment, ...

Re: Socket client.prg/server.prg

... tells me a couple of things. 192.168.0.10 is an address that is usually local area network. Even if it is on a local network it may not be able to route to your address. Re: FiveNet - .NET GUI from Harbour

JF,

Here you have the makefile, see how the DLL and the lib are easily created :-)

http://code.google.com/p/fivenet/source/browse/trunk/fivenet.mak

Using this technique you can use .NET components from Harbour apps and route events too! :-)
