You Can Now Run x86 Legacy Windows Apps On Surface !!!

This is really interesting:

Now Microsoft tablets are much more interesting :-)

allows running x86 Windows applications on Windows RT (ARM) tablets. The tool emulates x86 instructions and passes Windows API calls to WinRT kernel with necessary modifications.

Unless I am wrong, Windows RT ARM tablets are much cheaper than x86 based ones...

Though I am afraid they may go quite slow, as they use a translator from X86 to ARM instructions...

The apps don't run natively. Similar like QEmu

Manuel,

I just had a quick review of the process and I think that jailbreak was the first requirement.

IMO, its a shame that jailbreaks are needed for iOS, Android, Surface, etc (just a thought) :-)
