Hello Antonio,
I am sorry but I do not have the tech skills understanding how Harbour virtual machine works.
I was looking a Video I posted the link in the German forum where native C, C++ Windows 8 development is shown.
They talk that you can use WINRT native from nearly every language.
Why do you speak of C#.
Best regards,
Otto

Otto,

(lets have this conversation appart from FiveDBU one, thanks) :-)

I have followed the native C implementation since it originally was commented in Internet, etc. In fact I contacted some developers to check examples, etc.
The problem is that it has been broken in latest Win 8 builds:

http://www.interact-sw.co.uk/iangblog/2011/09/16/real-native-winrt

https://github.com/tgerdes/DelphiWinRT

Those authors stopped working on it. I couldn't make it work with recent Win 8 builds:

Tom worked in Embarcadero. He contacted me after my question in his Google+ and got no more feedback...

As you see in the examples, that way is quite scaring... :-S

So we should better forget about Native access and just think about a WinRT based Harbour, but I think that there is not enough interest about it.

Otto,

But we don't know yet if they will be Metro apps or desktop with WinRT apps. Surely Metro apps...
