In your previous post you mention you offered an un-compressed version of your program .. just curious .. I use Aspack as my compression tool .. were you having any reported problems using UPX ?

Thanks

Dear Rick

Some user has told me that his antivirus warns him of a problem in the file. UPX is a discontinued product and I prefer not to produce any problem.
Although I think the warning of your antivirus is because FE includes libraries like Curl, and some more lib of this type
The problem is detected when the file (EXE) is downloaded
I have checked with several antivirus and I have not found any problem

I confirm: EXEs packed with UPX are more and more (incorrectly) detected by antiviruses. I'm still using UPX but searching for a good free alternative...

Whenever I first download FiveEdit and try to run on Windows 10 SmartScreen pops up and gives me a warning .. I just by-pass it and let it run .. Enrico, Please check out Aspack ( not free but very reasonable ) .. I have used it for many, many years and the latest version compacts the hex so tightly .. there is virtually no way to de-compile or read anything via a hex editor ..

ps .. aspack only works on 32 bit .Exe's
