Good Morning All,

Well - that is the problem - and something interesting for all Novell fans (although we are a dying breed).

If the Novell Client Software (or Shell) has 'File Commit' (2000/XP) or 'True Commit' (95/98/ME) turned off (in Advanced Settings) DBCommit( ) and DBCommitAll( ) have no effect (and I can only assume that data is held in one of the many Novell I/O buffers until they reach a certain threshhold).

'File Commit' (2000/XP) or 'True Commit' (95/98/ME) must be turned on and your data is then immediately written to disk (obviously at the expense of network access time).

I am now wondering if any of the Windows Server Products have this type of option.

Regards,

Dale.
