Moving old app from MDI

Hi,

The application its using MDIchild with navigational dlgs inside.
Within each MDIchild it can go forward opening new dlgs replacing the existing one and
backwards closing the actual dlgs and restoring the previous one.
Each dlg has a multiple controls inside.
Each MDIchild keeps track of all previous used dlgs and within each dlg tables, indexes etc and restore them as needed.

Is it possible to replace the MDIchild window with a dlg and use it same way?

Any ideas?
