Hello,

How do I transfer files from / to PPC connected to the PC via USB?

Is there a way to map the ppc?

Is there a way to use a batch file for such transfer?

Thanks,
Moshe Yarden

Moshe,

If you are a "Total Commander" fan (we are! :-) ) then you can use this "Total Commander" pluggin to access your Pocket PC directly from your PC:

If you are using XP, then ActiveSync has to be installed also. And you manage your Pocket PC drive as another drive of your PC.

Hello Antonio and Maurizio,

Thanks.

"My Mobiler" works nice.

As for the "Total commander" I do use it. a lot.
However, I downloaded wincefs and passed all the described steps:
How to install the plugin in Windows Commander:
1. Unzip the archive to an empty directory
2. Choose Configuration - Options - Operation - FS-Plugins
3. Click "Add"
4. Go to the "Debug" subdirectory and choose wincefs.wfx
5. Click OK. You can now access the plugin in "Network Neighborhood".

In the total commander I can find "Network connection" but not "Network Neighborhood". Where can I find the ppc drive? I coluldn't map it from the Total commander as I can't see it there.

I believe that whenever the PPC device wiil be maped, I'll be able to write a batch file or a small exe to transfer files between the PC and the PPC.

Antonio,

Thanks. The CECopy works (both ways). It helps a lot.

As for the Total Commander: any idea why can't I map the PPC?
Everything looked ok while installing the plugins (the wincefs.wfx is installed), but I can't see the device when trying to map it.

Thanks,

Moshe Yarden

Moshe,

Regarding Total Commander we don't know what the problem may be. You may ask the pluggin developer.

We usually work on the Windows Mobile emulator on the PC and finally we copy the files (EXE, etc.) to a memory card to be executed from the Pocket PC.
