How do I forward ports on the router?

Refer to the steps below to forward ports in the router.

Step 1 Open your browser, enter the IP address of your router (192.168.1.1) and click OK.

Step 2 Enter your username (admin) and the password would be admin, which is the default password. Click OK to enter the web configuration page for the device.

Step 3 Click on Advanced tab and then click on LAN Clients and add the IP address of the computer/device you want to forward ports for. (for Eg. Local LAN IP of your PC with MySQL)

Step 4 Click on the Advanced tab and click on port forwarding on the left side.

Step 5 Click on user and create a new rule.

Give the rule name and select the TCP and UDP both as the protocol, and specify port start, port end and port map. You need to verify the port number to be forwarded. (In your case the port used by MySql by default is 3306)

Click on apply and add it to the applied rules and now click on Tools - System commands and save all and restart.

How do I configure DDNS on the router?

Refer to the steps mentioned below to configure DDNS on GLB-502T.

1. Access the web configuration of the router using its IP address 192.168.1.1

2 Click on the Advanced - Dynamic DNS Client

3. Select the Internet connection you have created on the Setup page.

4. Select the DDNS server (e.g. DynDNS) and enable the DDNS client.

5. Specify the username and password of your DynDNS account.

(Note : You need to register with DynDNS.org and create a host name)

6. Specify the domain name (e.g. homeip.net, homeftp.net, dyndns.com). Please note that you need the specify only the domain name, and not the hostname. For example if your hostname is 'mysite.homeip.net', the domain name would be 'homeip.net'.

7. Apply the settings.

8. Go to Tools - System Commands and click on Save All, followed by Restart.

Whenever the router reboots and obtains a new IP address, it would update the same at the DynDNS site. It would take couple of minutes for the IP to get updated depending on the speed internet connectivity and the site.
