This Is the Future: How Cloudflare Is Revolutionizing Secure Online Access

Hello friends,

It’s really a shame I didn’t come across Cloudflare earlier. For me, it currently solves almost all the issues I had with installations. Specifically, I’m using the following solutions:

Public website with SSL: Secured via Cloudflare.
RDP connection via Cloudflared Access: Works like a VPN for me.
Online management with Cloudflared Tunnel: Also like a VPN, but without the typical overhead.

I stumbled upon Cloudflare when I noticed that ChatGPT sometimes briefly uses Cloudflare as a front.
It’s amazing how generous Cloudflare is, even offering a free version.

With this, I’ve solved my infrastructure problems: secure homepages, a secure WINHOTEL online version (via Cloudflare Access), and secure RDP with TCP forwarding via cloudflared.

And the best part is that you don’t need to open any ports.

When transitioning to a web version, you’ll likely need to run things in parallel for a while, possibly with web services. For that, the RDP-Web (Cloudflare Access) combination is super suitable.

The setup isn’t difficult, but it’s not entirely straightforward either.

You don’t need any fixed IP addresses, just a domain name.

$10 for domain registration—that’s it.

Best regards,
Otto

Dear friends,

With our SERVERBOOKS, now complemented by Cloudflare, we are well-equipped for the coming years.

Next year, we will celebrate 30 years of WINHOTEL. After PCHOTEL, we released our WINHOTEL '95 version alongside the release of WINDOWS 95 in 1995.

Antonio, Mr. Rao, the Fivewin team, and all of you have significantly contributed to overcoming the challenges we faced.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone.

Best regards,
Otto
