Windows 11 Home Single Language

Post by hua »

I have been getting reports that one of my modules have stopped running on clients' machine.
The module ran fine on all of PCs at my office.
No clue so far what is the cause.
The only common thing they share seem to be updating to the latest windows update (22H2)
Anyone else facing such issue because this really got me stumped

TIA

Sadly, Microsoft has been putting out updates that break long running services. A perfect example was when they eliminated network discovery capabilities a few years ago that took away the ability of Client Server software to seek, and identify, a server running that package. ( ie. ADS, Oracle, etc ). They did nothing to resolve it or even provide information.

Another one is their phasing out now of MAPI services, and thus programs wishing to interact with Outlook Desktop are struggling with newer versions.

Their client base is simply not the focus of their work any longer. It's all about the creativity of developers to do their own thing ( often with very poor design talent ), and then try and force everyone to come along.

I know this doesn't help you solve your problem, but it may well be with that common factor - the Win 11 update. Hopefully you can isoloate what components are failing, and we can help you dig deeper into the cause.

After automatic update to W11 you have a buttom to come back to W10. This was the solution to all the problems.

I was referring to my exe. Not any specific API
Some of my exes ran fine while one of them just stopped. Have to get a hold of windows 11 home 22H2 and try to replicate the error.
