Dear Romeo,

The site on the web you have, is it a web page hosted in a hosting company ?

Or is it a dedicated server ?

Dear Romeo,

Do you have SSH access to it ?

If so, please email me your site url, your login and password and I will inspect it from here :-)

Dear Romeo,

It seems as you have hired a very basic service that just allows you to use WordPress and MySQL

You have to ask them if you can hire a dedicated server where you have full control. Obviously, this will be more expensive.

Once you have a dedicated server then you can use Harbour to develop your web apps very easily :-)

A dedicated server means that you have a full PC (it may be virtualized) just for you, where you have freedom to do what you may want or need

Dear Antonio,
why not self-hosting?
We can add port forwarding and static IP for only 5€ / month extra cost to our internet subscription.

Best regards,
Otto

Dear Otto,

Yes, thats a very interesting option too :-)

What ports do you open in your router ? 80 and 443 only, I guess.

Dear Romeo,

You can have your own dedicated server at home, as Otto has pointed.

That would be the cheapest solution :-)

I

All my servers and domains are contracted with Aruba.it, both Linux and Windows, and I have Mod-Harbour installed on all of them.
Here in the forum there are other colleagues who also use those servers.
