Mr. Rao's samples collection.

Mr. Rao's samples collection.

Postby Marc Venken » Mon Jan 22, 2018 11:50 am

Hello All,
Hey Mr. Rao,

Looking for samples, it's most frequently that your samples are the real thing....

Is it possible that your sample collection of Xbrowse, somewhere on your drive can be put on 1 location (like MariaDB, ...)
I'm sure that I will not always find the best sollutions, but the samples are somewhere in the forum... but not always found.

Maybe a 1 file sample download with all samples, or peaces of code ?

I know the FWsamples, but you have made so much more...

It would be very usefull..

Thanks.

Yes you did, and I use it often. But if they could be on 1 location, it would be great, surely because Xbrowse has become so strong that whole systems are build around it, as main engine.

The Wiki is also interesting, but some samples are so great, that i'm sure there are more.

Marc,

working on it ( not only for xbrowse )

select a sample from the browser of the mainwindow
a memo to define details of the sample
samples from code or resource
samples on windows, dialog, folderpages and any other free tests

the complete source will be posted to add Your own samples.

Maybe You like to have some special samples to be included :?:

Hey Uwe,

Your sample program will be great for sure !!

But you also need the samples from the forum, including your own to have a great program.

I suppose you also use Mr. Rao's program to check forum samples ?

At this moment, The Xbrowse samples and use of the methods for Xbrowse are most interesting, because I'm converting from TSBrowse to Xbrowse.

Marc,

I added another screenshot to the post above to show how it works.
to make a sample compact, I included more than 1 solution to a sample.
inside the forum I still have to search for intresting samples.

The project-browser shows the PRG and the FUNCTION
that makes it easy to have a look at the code.

maybe You can show some interesting links to be added :?:

I have downloaded several samples (most Xbrowse related) from the forum. I can send them to you as a Zip, so you can see if they are interesting for your sample collector.

I don't have the links, because I don't save them. Do you save the links as a reference for later, as a bookmark or so ?

Hello Uwe,

>a memo to define details of the sample

Instead of a memo field I would suggest inserting the description at the beginning of the prg file.

This would be much easier to maintain.
Best regards,
Otto

I completed Rao's tool

Now You can select a author,
define the range
and connect to the forum to show the topic
I think it makes it complete

Hey Uwe,

Very nice....

Hope to test it soon.

His version looks for the englisch forum (F=3)

Maybe a option that also the spanisch can be looked up ? Than we don't need to change the program.
The samples there are in englisch, and can be looked at.

Just a idea.

And maybe a extra field : 1 char. Only for selecting HOT and interesting items, in order to lookup fast HOT items.

You keep the dialog small ? maybe full screens, since it is for lookup ?

Works very nice.

Maybe also a Yes/No select in the dialog to give the possibility to NOT delete the database, so that users can update the last post from the forum from time to time, but prevent to have to download ALL again.

Thank you.
