OT : Problem with this forum?

That time it was a copy/paste from the old to the new domain, and not a install, right ?

We haven't moved it. We did a fresh installation in http://www.fivetechsoft.com/forums and then
a backup from these forums restored in the new one, just in case these forums may have a problem, etc.

But there is no an easy and automatic way to synch them

I think we should try to put

Code: Select all  Expand view  RUN
request_order = "GPC"

in php.ini.

Dear Enrico,

It was already set like that:

; This directive determines which super global data (G,P,C,E & S) should
; be registered into the super global array REQUEST. If so, it also determines
; the order in which that data is registered. The values for this directive are
; specified in the same manner as the variables_order directive, EXCEPT one.
; Leaving this value empty will cause PHP to use the value set in the
; variables_order directive. It does not mean it will leave the super globals
; array REQUEST empty.
; Default Value: None
; Development Value: "GP"
; Production Value: "GP"
; http://php.net/request-order
request_order = "GPC"
regards, saludos

inside local php.ini:

session.gc_maxlifetime = 65535

Lets see if this makes a difference...

Yesterday, by mistake, I made this change in www.fivetechsoft.com instead of www.fivetechsupport.com (where the forums are)

So now, I have set it for the forums. Please lets check if there is a login difference now, thanks

Ok, so I'm out of ideas, sorry. :-(

Maybe we should switch to the new forum that seems to work fine.

Dear Antonio,

Best would be a mod harbour driven forum.

Best regards,

At least thanks to this forum I remember 1 password :roll: :D

I don't think it is that a problem to keep using the forum. Just for the password all is working ok.

Btw : The password is predisplayed, so it is just a click to enter the forum...

Just my thinking.

we may have fixed it:

1. once you log in, please save the complete url that shows on the web browser

2. next time use that url to access the forums

You should not be forced to log in again :-)

Feedback is welcome, thanks

We were happy for a while :-)

what I have noticed is the following:

1. every time we refresh the forums web we get a different phpbb3_r8ok8_sid (right click, inspect, app, cookies)

2. but in the URL we keep asking for the previous SID

This session id (SDI) may be related to PHP sessions. If we get a new session ID then it means that the previous one was deleted.

This may be related to PHP garbage collection and such GC happens based on the parameter in php.ini:

session.gc_maxlifetime = 99999999 // it is 65535 by default

we keep searching... :-)

As the forum

http://www.fivetechsoft.com/forums

already works fine, can't you just move all the threads from this forum to the new one?
