Select part of the cell

I need to select a fragment in a table cell. I do this:

However, the entire cell is selected. What am I doing wrong. What am I doing wrong ?

oStartRangeText := oStartRange:Text
oEndRangeText := oEndRange:Text

oStartRange:Release()
oEndRange:Release()
