Postby Otto » Fri Oct 16, 2009 8:50 pm

Does someone know if the new HTC HD2 1GHz Snapdragon™ processor, capacitive touch screen with a resolution: 480 X 800 WVGA
and Windows Mobile® 6.5 Professional will be useable with FIVEWIN PPC?

Thanks in advance
Otto

Otto,

From the wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(processor)

Snapdragon is a name of an architecture of a family of chipsets with an ARM-based CPU.

So I would say "yes" as it is ARM-based, but it should be better to test it to be totally sure :-)

The Windows Mobile 6.5 Developer Tool Kit adds documentation, sample code, header and library files, emulator images and tools to Visual Studio that let you build applications for Windows Mobile 6.5.

Anyhow, Steve Ballmer has publically aknowledged that WM 6.5 is not good enough and they are focused on the WM 7 development, which will try to fight with the iPhone and the Android.

Otto,

I think there is something wrong with that emulator:

If I click "phone" or "contacts", its fine. But if I press "Start" nothing happens.

I don't know how to open the main menu :-)

I use Smarthphones...

Have you download on the same link the file called " deviceemulator_6" ?

I have the same error if I click on "start" button nothing happens, perhaps there is another button, perhaps on the left or the right side ?
Best Regards, Saludos

Silvio,

I renamed the devicemulator.exe so I can keep all of them in the same folder.

Haven't find a way to open the main menu yet.
