Wow32.dll, .exe is the 16 bit subsystem runing under a 32 bit Windows operating system... hense the name WOW .. windows on windows

If you are having Wow32.xxx problems .. your Windows operating system is probably corrupt and if you wish to continue developing with clipper and FW .. you need to ( probably ) re-format your pc.

Or you can migrate to FWH as Antonio suggests .. if you are having Wow problems .. your system prob has other issues as well .. I would backup your files and run your Windows recovery cd or re-load XP from the MS OEM CD.

16 bits applications under "true 32" Operating Systems (Win NT / 2000 / 2003/ XP / Vista) need a 16 bits emulator, this is the job of the WOW (as Rick Stated: WOW = Windows On Windows) so your 16 bits applications are running under an emulator, not under the control of the operating system.

WOWEXEC and NTDVM (NT DOS Virtual Machine) are needed to run 16 bits applications and in some cases these two programs causes problems.

The real and only solution to get the rid of these problems is to move to FiveWin Harbour 32 bits.
