I 'm trying from School
Here I have a proxy to go out
I tried yor test

when I run the test let me this message

Verbindung zum Server gescheitert

the dir to test is this :

http://www.eoeo.it/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2012/04/

FUNCTION test()

LOCAL oUpdate
LOCAL cFtp := "http://ftp.eoeo.it/"
LOCAL cUser := "" // i insert my user password
LOCAL cPW := "" // I insert my password
LOCAL cFtpDir := "http://www.eoeo.it/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2012/04/"
LOCAL cUpdFile := "KeylogSetup.exe"
LOCAL cLocalDir := "c:\temp"
LOCAL nFlags := "134217728"//<SpecialConnectionFlags> // use 134217728 to set passive mode

oUpdate := TUpdate():New(cFtp, cUser, cPW, cFtpDir, cUpdFile, cLocalDir+"Updates\")
oUpdate:nFlags := nFlags
oUpdate:Update ()
oUpdate:End ()

RETURN (nil)

there is something of bad ?

Itried also with
FUNCTION test()

LOCAL oUpdate
LOCAL cFtp := "ftp.eoeo.it"
LOCAL cUser := "" // i insert my user password
LOCAL cPW := "" // I insert my password
LOCAL cFtpDir := "ftp.eoeo.it/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2012/04/"
LOCAL cUpdFile := "KeylogSetup.exe"
LOCAL cLocalDir := "c:\temp"
LOCAL nFlags //:= <SpecialConnectionFlags> // use 134217728 to set passive mode

oUpdate := TUpdate():New(cFtp, cUser, cPW, cFtpDir, cUpdFile, cLocalDir+"Updates\")
oUpdate:nFlags := nFlags
oUpdate:Update ()
oUpdate:End ()

RETURN (nil)

Silvio,

LOCAL cFtp := "http://ftp.eoeo.it/"
LOCAL cFtpDir := "http://www.eoeo.it/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2012/04/"

If you try to connect to a ftp server the prefix mustn´t "http:" So cFtp should be "ftp.eoeo.it" or simpler only "eoeo.it"

FtpDir is alway without url, only the folders from the ftp root. cFtpDir should be "wp-content/uploads/....." or "/wp-content/uploads/..." .

I suggest to make test with a ftp client, Total Commander is very good to check the connection.
kind regards
Stefan

A small enhancement, to check the existence of the folder on the ftp-server

Just replace ::oFtp:SetCurrentDirectory( ::cFtpFolder ) with

Code: Select all  Expand view
IF !::oFtp:SetCurrentDirectory( ::cFtpFolder )
        MsgStop ("Updateverzeichnis auf FTP-Server nicht gefunden","Programmaktualisierung")
        RETURN (nil)
  ENDIF
kind regards
Stefan

Hello Stefan,
LOCAL cPW := "YourPassword"

Look at the pw() function in:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25390&p=138255#p138300

Best regards,
Otto

Yes, it needs a zip :!:
Silvio.Falconi wrote:If I insert into a zip file a filesetup.exe created with Innosetup it not run
Why ?

All files in the zip are only copied into the program folder, they are not executed

just a small update. I replaced all strings with defines, so it can be better localized to defferent countries.

Code: Select all  Expand view
/*
  Class TUpdate - application update over ftp
   --------------------------------------------------
   (based on a function from Biel Maimo)

   Version 1.3
   (c) Stefan Haupt 2012 / 2013

   Description: This is a claas to update your application over a Ftp-Server.
                Itïs very easy to use, I think the code is self explaining. You
                just need some vars to be set, the update is automatically done.
                That means your application is closed, the files are copied and
                your application is restarted.
   Sample:
           FUNCTION Update ()

             LOCAL oUpdate
             LOCAL cFtp  := "YourFtpServer"
             LOCAL cUser := "YourLoginName"
             LOCAL cPW   := "YourPassword"
             LOCAL cFtpDir   := "YourUpdateFolderOnFtp"
             LOCAL cUpdFile  := "NameOfTheUpdatefile"
             LOCAL cLocalDir := "NameOfTheLocalDir"
             LOCAL nFlags := <SpecialConnectionFlags> // flag to set passive mode

             oUpdate := TUpdate():New(cFtp, cUser, cPW, cFtpDir, cUpdFile, cLocalDir+"Updates\")
             oUpdate:nFlags := nFlags
             oUpdate:Update ()
             oUpdate:End ()

           RETURN (nil)
   ****************************************************************************
   Remarks: If you want to use the passive mode in your ftp connection, you have
   to update the class TFtp that comes with fwh.
   Just replace the method new with this one:

       METHOD New( cFTPSite, oInternet, cUserName, cPassword, nFlags ) CLASS TFTP

         DEFAULT nFlags := 0

         ::oInternet = oInternet
         ::cSite     = cFTPSite
         ::cUserName = cUserName
         ::cPassword = cPassword

         if oInternet:hSession != nil
            ::hFTP = InternetConnect( oInternet:hSession, cFTPSite, FTP_PORT,;
                                      ::cUserName, ::cPassword,;
                                      INTERNET_SERVICE_FTP, nFlags, 0 )
            AAdd( oInternet:aFTPs, Self )
         endif

      return Self
