MESSAGE Delete METHOD _Delete()

I dont understand why the _Delete method is implemented as a message instead of as a normal method. What is the reason for this ?

2)
Can messages accept parameter and pass them on to the method ?

Delete is a reserved word.

Yes, messages work just like a method.
