Strange problem writing dbf file on network disk

Strange problem writing dbf file on network disk

Postby Marco Turco » Thu Dec 17, 2009 7:44 am

Hi all,
a customer reported me this windows error that appairs only when I create a dbf on a network disk.
The same operation made directly on the server runs well.

"Windows-unable to write.
Impossible to save all data of file //Client/C/PIGC.017/File(16).dbf data lost. This error could be due to an hardware or network error. Try to save the file in another location."

Any ideas ? I alredy set the network parameters using the netcheck functions.

Word, Excel, etc. are not network applications. They just load documents or sheets from disk to memory and don't use any of the network functions.
