Mobile Phone applications

Mobile Phone applications

Postby George » Fri Nov 05, 2010 5:46 pm

Those who develop applications know that the market is re-routed to cell phones.
My question is: which mobile phone platform we need to move ?

1. Windows Phone 7
2. Apple iPhone
3. Google Android

Or in other words where is heading the FiveTech support?
I would like to know forum comments and of course the FiveTech response.

Regards

It seems that Apple iPhone and Android are discarded.
The Cell phone should be Windows Phone as this OS is the evolution of Windows Mobile OS supported by FWPPC.

Hi Carles
You are right.
As explained by Manuel and Daniel the obstacle regarding FivePhone was not "insalvable".
I see that AL is enthusiastic with this project and we can expect another great FiveTech product.
Although, in my opinion, support for the new Windows Phone, based in FWPPC success, should be the best approach.

I recently looked into the various phone OS's and the only one that is built for business use including built-in security is the Blackberry. Since database apps are mainly for business use, it seems that this OS makes the most sense for us.

I note that a recent story in the news was about how many of the apps for the iPhone are gathering and sending pesonal data across the Internet to unknown places. This is unknown to the users. We cannot have this type of thing going on with business data.

This is too bad as iPhone and Android apps would probably sell better than Blackberry.

James,
That's true as almost all major businesses in USA are using Blackberry phone.

Antonio
Technically speaking, would be possible a FW version for Blackberry?
