HI Mr Antonio.

IMHO fivewin is very complete but we don't have a way to make internet applications using it.

Regards,

Toninho.

Maybe this should be done by harbour/xHarbour...

But we don't have a debug tool, can it be inserted in fivewin?

The resource editor will be welcome too.

Hello lailton.webmaster,

>Print/preview of fivewin need option to export/save to html, pdf, word, excel

If you look at other development tools too you will see that the print jobs are mostly passed to extern Report Generators.

What is the reason that you don’t want to use an extern Report Tool?

I think it would be a waste of time developing now a complete FIVEWIN own report generator. All attempts in the past were in vain (Rene Pilons GS and there were many more).
You don’t get as many users that it could be a success.

Best regards,
Otto

I've been following the response to Antonio's request for New Controls and I am surprised at the LOW number of responses to the request. 735 reviews and only 25 responses. I am not a programmer. I Have one program that I manage to fix and improve occasionaly but I am more a seller and user of software then a developer. My profession is a CPA here in the US. That is the equivalent of a Charter Accountant elsewhere.
From my perspective if xbase or fivewin in particular does not move to the web then we will be left behind as an obsolete method of programming. Some of the things I've seen here on this website are absolutely incredible but we need to continue to progress. The next-generation, or maybe the current generation, of software will be internet based programs. I am constantly asked by any potential purchasers of my program whether it is a web-based or not. In my opinion the web is the future. We need to move to it NOW.

I invite your comments.
Thank you

No donuts for us: if dont move to web quickly, we are out of game... we need is fivenet, fiveasp or fiveweb.
Fivewin is the best to local appl, but the world is migrating to web, cloud, etc..

Hello Harvey, hello Norberto,

may I ask if you could please post some concrete examples how you would like to see FiveWin working with ( through/in, etc. ) Internet.
Do you mean data access to a common server and local applications or web services. Could you please post some ideas
you have or wishes you want to resolve.

Best regards,
Otto
