Is anyone using XML ?

I need to build routines to exchange XML data with a website. Does anyone have a sample of this type of process ?

I'm mostly interested in the communication methods. None of the samples I have seen on XML say anything about how to post the data to a web server or how to wait, and receive, the reply.
