Credit Card Pin Pad

Has anyone written an interface for a credit card pin pad device ?

I have to communicate between my program and a device that is on USB, but bridged to COM 7. I have some code in place, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. I'd be happy to share what I'm doing if someone else is trying to do this too.
