MinGW much slower than VS2012

MinGW much slower than VS2012

Postby Antonio Linares » Thu Aug 01, 2013 5:39 pm

Just to comment you that when testing FWH with Borland, MSVC and MinGW, we have noticed that the slower to build the EXEs is MinGW by far.

Sometimes you have to wait for a while to get the EXE built. Borland and MSVC build much faster.

I thought that some of you may be interested about this :-)

Elvira,

No I have not, but surely is quite similar to bcc582, which it is very fast, and quite similar to Microsoft C.

My choice is VS2012, though we support all of them. Now that we learned how to use Microsoft vcvarsall.bat now it is much easier to use it :-)
