Pelles C IDE Resource Editor Adding Escape Sequence

Pelles C IDE Resource Editor Adding Escape Sequence

Postby cdmmaui » Tue Oct 22, 2013 3:18 pm

Hello,

I am trying to switch from ResEdit to Pelles C IDE to manage my resources and I am running in to the following problem. Pelles C IDE is adding an escape sequence causing resource compiler to fail.

ResEDIT
CONTROL "Post Entry to Oracle?", 108, "BorCheck", 0x50010003, 335, 50, 76, 10

Pelles C IDE
CONTROL "Post Entry to Oracle\?", 108, "BorCheck", WS_TABSTOP|0x00000003, 335, 50, 76, 10

Compiler Error
Borland Resource Compiler Version 5.40
Copyright (c) 1990, 1999 Inprise Corporation. All rights reserved.
Error wms.RC 219 11: Invalid escape sequence

Can someone tell me how to configure Pelles IDE to eliminate this problem?

Thank you,

Darrell,

This is the first time that I find this problem with PellesC resources editor.

Lets see if we are able to find a solution for it...

It is much easier to generate *.res file from Pelles C IDE (this is as simple as saving with extension *.res) and link with our application.
