Hi Otto

Very nice.

Is this the new TMetroPanel in action?

I can see how you have used the new TSwitch.

Are you using tmetro by Javier in the video?

Otto,

What do you think of Metro based on your use in WinHotel ? Will it be better for your clients, and easier to use ? I think your opinions will be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hello Tim,
please give me some more time for an answer.
I will try to finish one application. I am not even sure – till now I only saw the Control Panel from WINDOWS 8 – how a WINDOWS 8 application should look.
So I hope I can share in some weeks me experiences. And maybe we see some WINDOWS 8 applications except the CP till then.
Best regards,
Otto

To All

I just happen to have some time on my hands and I took the Forum Metro samples and successfully re-compiled the Metro application.

After looking at the UI, I am trying to figure out how the user interface should work .. much like Otto's conception I would guess.. However, I would like to make an observation ..

The Metro app takes up the entire screen WITHOUT any way to minimize .. since there are no frames. At first glance I like the layout, however, looking at the UI, I get a sense that the app tends to 'hog' the screen and you must use alt-tab to bring other apps to the foreground. Just dubious about starting a new windows application on this foundation.

I realize Metro is designed to be consistent across multiple platforms ( 'touch screens', phones, tablets ) .. I am just hesitant on building a Windows application on this UI and what others think ??

Thanks
Rick Lipkin
