Webview2

Hello,
What exactly needs to be installed for WebView2?

As far as I know, since Windows 10 version 2004 (May 2020 Update), WebView2 is part of the operating system and is included by default. In such cases, you don't need to install WebView2 separately as it is already present.

What needs to be installed on older systems?

Best regards,
Otto

I just had to download the Webview2 run-time yesterday and it was hard to find .. I was at the webpage https://developer.microsoft.com/es-es/m%20...%20/webview2/ and could not find any way to download the file ... Finally found it on another webpage .. if you need the installer I have it and it works .. At the computer store when we service a machine we always remove Edge and the Webview2 runtime

Let me know if you can not find the the file ... I had to re-install it on a client's machine yesterday and had a difficult time finding it.

Hello Rick,

Thank you very much.

As you may know, I have switched my reporting to HTML. Therefore, I need WebView2. Since some of my clients are still using Windows Server 2008/2012 2012R2, I might need to install WebView2 separately. It would be great if I could be prepared in case I need it. Could you please send me the link?

Best regards,
Otto

Hello Rick,
thank you very much.
In the next few days, I will be converting more reports and lists, which is why I will be revisiting WebView2 for quite some time.
It's a great technology because you can utilize the work for Fivewin and mod harbour as well.
Best regards,
Otto
