Is it possible to search through a text string using substitution characters (? / *) ?

Sorry, Antonio! I don't really understand how substitution characters can be used in regular expressions. I need to find a phrase in the text. This phrase is in the text, but the separators between the words may be different ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
