MP4 Video with tvideo class.

We are utilizing the tvideo class with MPG type files. One question is we would like to utilize the newer MP4 files. As well as we would like to expand the video to full screen. We have gotten the MPG files to play but cannot expand to full screen. We have not been able to get the MP4 files to play. I would like to also utilize this for playing movies at my home as well. Anybody with experience please jump in.
