I think the better way is using True Type Fonts for the barcode column

Agree with you.

Barcode lib is pretty good when printing full sheets of barcodes.

However if you need a simple column of a report object with the barcode printed, the fastest way is to use a BarCode Truetype font.

There are plenty free bar code fonts over the internet just google "barcode fonts" and you will find them.
