Date editing format problem

Date editing format problem

Antonio

I have noticed this on FWH807 .. can't really remember if this was a problem on FWH806 .. but I know it was a problem in earlier FWH versions ..

Consider a get with a date with the century on 07/17/2010

Click and hi-lite the last digit of the year ( the zero ) and change it to a 1.. the year changes to 0201 instead of 2011 ..

Can you verify this ??

Still having this problem with 8.11 .. if you have a date get .. snip off the last digit like :

12/31/2008 .. snip off the 8 and replace it with a 9 .. and the date changes the year to 12/31/0209 .. SQL server is especially sensative to this where .dbf is not.

Hopeing you might take another look at this.

Thanks

Temporary workaround until fixed:

Convert date to text, edit as text, then postedit convert back to date .

Of course, this is only practical to use in a couple of places. If you have a lot of date edits, then maybe too many changes needed for the workaround.
