Theamed Gets are still showing 3d boarders

Postby RAMESHBABU » Mon Nov 03, 2008 2:35 pm

Hello Mr.Antonio,

I have come across an abnormal behaviour of gets.
When they are painted through resources the get are respecting
the themes and borders are shown properly. But when the gets
are coded in the PRG, the borders are shown with 3d effect alongwith
the theamed effect as under in XP and vice-versa in Win98.

This is the result I had in Win98!

I have found this behaviour in Win98 and WinXP. But not tested in VISTA.

My FWH Version is fwh 8.09

Can you please advise me, what I should do.

Regards,

Ramesh,

did you try to change the style of the get to get rid of the 3d effect ?

Code: Select all  Expand view
@ x,y GET oGet ...
oGet:nStyle := ...
kind regards
Stefan

Hello Mr.Stefan,

Thank you for your concern.

I have already tried to change the styles. But no sucess. It is happening
just because of the themes. If I remove the manifest from the RC File, then the borders are painted sharp.

And your solution to the Gradient Brush is very good. But if you can
supply the oBrush:nHeight,oBrush:nWidth automatically, this would be
a very nice classl to everybody in the forum who wants to give an elegant look to their applications.

Regards to you,

thanks for your kind words, it´s a good idea to get the dimension automatically. I will take a look as soon as possible
