Marc,

Wunderlist
For a simple ToDo list, take a look at Wunderlist (Windows, Andriod and iPhone). Multiple people can be using the same list. You can add tasks and assign them to somebody else and they show up on their list. It syncs via the cloud.

https://www.wunderlist.com/

Keep in mind, however, Microsoft bought this and it is now a dead product. There haven't been any updates in a year and there probably won't be any more. Microsoft integrated some of Wunderlist's features in their ToDo list but not all, so Wunderlist is still a superior product.

Wrike
For something more sophisticated, look at Wrike (also for Windows, Android, and iPhone). This comes in various versions, with different capabilities. There is a free version for up to 5 users, but it's features are very limited. Even the free version is way more than a ToDo list, it is more like a private messaging system. You can define tasks and upload documents then invite others to respond and everyone invited can see the message thread and/or respond. When you leave a message for someone, they get a notification. The advanced versions have all kinds of other nice features. Nice system.

https://www.wrike.com/tour/

It is probably worth looking at both of them.

Thank you. Will look into them.

Kanbanflow is also very interesting (Like Trello)

Does one of you ever seen an FW sample Xbrowse with full drag en drop ?
The samples are poor. (only drag/drop as last item)

Trello and kanbanflow could be build as a Xbrowse I think, But the drag and drop is hard. With FW we could addapt to our needs.

This is kanbanflow :

Hello Mark,

it depends what you need.

My main system for information exchange is Outlook.

But you are limited in working “on” emails. You can’t edit, etc.
And treeview is not as powerful for organizing as a desktop.

I developet eMailDesktop as I need:

Connection to my FiveWIN CRM – emails are automatically imported to the DMS

To paste & copy from one email to another, delete content inside the emails, etc.
Incoming emails are automatically converted to RTF documents.

As we are a software company we get not only one email to a case but mostly more.

So we can copy and paste from the emails which come later to the email which opened the case.

Things we have done we delete – the original copy of the email is still in Outlook and in our DMS .

There is a main folder/desktop and a appointment folder/desktop. You can drag an email, tag it with a date and paste it in the appointment folder.
The email comes back automatically to the working desktop on the day when the date is corresponding.

I had now a look into the mentioned system. But they all are not a real desktop like our Fivewin program. They are listviews and therefore limited.

EmailDesktop is a real innovation.

Best regards,
Otto
